Residents at Haddington Festival

Haddington Festival Winners for the 2nd Year in a Row

After winning last year's dress-up parade at the Haddington Festival, our care home was super keen to attend again.

This year's theme was 'Under The Sea' and our care home worked hard to create several outfits, including a set of Jelly Fishes.

The whole process leading up to the event was super fun for everyone in the home, creating costumes in our arts & crafts sessions that our activity coordinators put on. The sun was shining down on the day of the parade and the event was filled with laughter.

To make the day even better, Haddington Care Home won the 'Best Dressed' trophy again for the second year in a row. Everyone within the home was super proud of everyone's efforts and we cannot wait for next year.

As the warmer weather stayed, we then hosted a garden party in the sun. All of our residents were welcomed into our garden for some food and to soak in the sun. Everyone chatted and listen to some music that was put on by a local entertainer.

Our Activity Coordinators work hard to provide our residents with an engaging programme that is not only set within the home but also out in our local community. Working alongside local organisations and events like the Haddington Festival allows our residents to socialise and feel like they still have their independance. Our aim is to reduce loneliness and ensure that everyone within our home continues to live a fulfilled lifestyle.
