Private Secure Gardens

Our private secure gardens are a fantastic space for our residents to spend time to themselves or catch up with those closest to them, take a leisurely walk around the grounds, or choose a quiet spot to sit to be at one with nature. It’s highly encouraged that residents reap the benefits of fresh air.

When the weather permits, we try to arrange activities as much as possible in our lovely grounds or invite entertainment to perform when the sun is shining. Residents also partake in gardening activities to help maintain our beautiful garden.

Large & Enclosed Outside Area

Our enclosed gardens provide the perfect outside area for our residents to relax and watch the wildlife go by, and meet up with friends and family in a calm setting. Outdoor activities can be a great way to meet new people, socialise, and build a feeling of responsibility, especially when the weather is nice. Our staff goes to great efforts to create activities that may be carried out outside, in our private and charming garden.

Maintaining The Garden

All residents are invited to participate in gardening, to help maintain the raised flower beds and plants and keep the garden looking pleasant at all times. Not only does gardening get residents outside and focused on achieving a task, but it also brings a sense of independence and responsibility, and it’s lovely to see resident’s proud of their work. What better feeling than walking outside or looking out the window to see the flowers you have planted bloom.

Private Secure Gardens FAQs

We believe that residents should get outside regularly, take in the fresh air, engage in outdoor activities, and enjoy nature to aid with overall well-being. Being outdoors provides many mental and physical benefits such as reducing stress and anxiety, improving overall mood and improving cardiovascular health, balance, and muscle strength.

A few of the outdoor activities that residents can partake in include walking, gardening, lawn games, and chair exercises. When the weather permits, residents can dine outside and enjoy live entertainment.

In order to make our garden accessible to all, we have wheelchair-accessible paths and seated furniture. Our private garden is also safe and secure with sturdy fencing and gates, to prevent residents from going beyond the garden walls. Our paths are well-maintained and there is lighting to help prevent falls or other accidents.
