Haddington Care Home Welcomes Anna Chaplain Judith to the Team
Haddington Care Home is thrilled to announce the addition of Judith, our very own Anna Chaplain, to the team. As one of only two Anna Chaplains in Scotland, Judith brings a unique and invaluable service to our residents, providing dedicated emotional and spiritual care.
Founded in 2010, Anna Chaplaincy is a ministry devoted to the spiritual wellbeing of older adults. Named after Anna, the faithful widow from Luke’s Gospel, the chaplaincy is committed to serving individuals of all faith levels—whether strong, little or none at all. This service aligns perfectly with Haddington Care Home’s mission to create a warm and supportive environment for all residents.
Judith is passionate about the spiritual wellbeing of our residents and is dedicated to promoting excellence in their spiritual care. Her compassionate approach aims to address the emotional and spiritual needs of each resident, fostering a sense of peace and fulfilment in their later years.
Judith’s role involves offering one-on-one support, facilitating group sessions and being a comforting presence to residents and their families. Her work ensures that every resident feels valued and supported, regardless of their faith background.
The introduction of Anna Chaplaincy at Haddington Care Home marks a significant step in enhancing the emotional and spiritual care available to residents. This service aims to build a stronger sense of community within the home, ensuring that each resident’s spiritual and emotional needs are met with compassion and understanding.
As Haddington Care Home continues to prioritise the holistic wellbeing of its residents, the addition of Judith as an Anna Chaplain is a testament to our commitment to providing the highest standard of care. We look forward to the positive impact she will have on our community and the enrichment of our residents’ lives through her dedicated service.
