Haddington Care Home Annual Christmas Fair Extravaganza

Santa with His Elves

Haddington Care Home recently hosted its anticipated annual Christmas Fair, bringing together residents, relatives, and the broader community in a joyous celebration of the Christmas season. In the lead-up to the event, residents and colleagues shared quality time crafting festive decorations while enjoying the nostalgic tunes of Christmas music, and reminiscing about Christmas memories across generations.

The Christmas Fair featured an array of stalls offering Christmas crafts, a tombola, an opportunity to meet Santa, and engaging Christmas games. The event not only created a vibrant and festive atmosphere but also served as a platform for the community to come together in the spirit of the season.

There were many things on offer at the Christmas fair including books, Christmas cards, homemade jams, baked treats, jewellery, knitted clothing and more.

Haddington had a visit from Santa, accompanied by his two elves who visited everyone in the home including residents, staff and staff's children and gave gifts to spread the festive cheer.

One of the highlights of the fair was the fundraising effort, with an impressive £700 raised. This generous sum is earmarked for the purchase of an interactive tabletop, enhancing the recreational experiences for residents. The interactive table will provide a dynamic and engaging platform for residents to enjoy a variety of activities, further enriching their daily lives.

The success of the Christmas Fair at Haddington Care Home is a testament to the strong sense of community and festive spirit that thrives within the care home and the surrounding neighborhood. As the festive season unfolds, the care home continues to create meaningful and joyful experiences for its residents.

Haddington looks forward to more festive celebrations and activities in the lead-up to Christmas.
