An Afternoon of Music & Dancing

Ann who is a volunteer at Haddington Care Home treated the residents to an afternoon of music, playing well-loved songs on the piano and handing out song sheets for residents to sing along.

Our residents enjoyed Scottish folk songs such as 'The Happy Wanderer' and 'Loch Lomond' which many of them knew off by heart, and it was great to see everyone getting involved, some even got up to dance.

Everyone's faces were lit up reminiscing about their younger days, we even managed to film clips of residents singing and dancing which can be found on our Facebook page.

It's so important to us here at Haddington that we offer a varied activities programme that includes everything from gardening, crafts and baking, to enjoying live performances where residents can get involved and have a sing-sing.

A big thank you to Ann for taking time out of her day to put on a fantastic performance as always. We look forward to having more live music in the upcoming weeks.
