What Haddington Has Been Up To

To celebrate the King's coronation, the team at Haddington made crowns with the residents, enjoyed a fabulous coronation buffet, and put our talents together with the residents to make some flags and bunting.

In the afternoon the residents danced and sang the afternoon away with entertainer, Davy Martin. Everyone enjoyed some karaoke, with some buddy holiday, the proclaimers and Lynne Anderson.

Our residents enjoyed a fantastic day trip to Musselburgh Harbour and ventured into the fishmongers for a bit of a sensory experience. The sea was calm and it was lovely to see the boats.

One of our residents John Smillie had a visit to see wild horses, this was a spectacular outing for him, a lover of horse racing and anything horse related. We were blessed with a sunny day and it was wonderful to get out in nature and see the beautiful views that are on our doorstep.

Haddington Care Home is also busy preparing for the Haddington Festival on 3rd June 2023. Colleagues and residents are really excited about this year's theme- under the sea. Residents have been picking out their costumes, including pirates, jelly fish, mermaids and even spongebob square pants.

Some of our residents also enjoyed a trip to the local garden centre, picking out lots of plants and flowers to spruce up the garden.

Haddington Care Home in East Lothian is proud to provide a varied activities programme for our residents each week. These activities cater to their physical, mental, emotional, and social wellbeing, promoting a higher quality of life. Just a few of the benefits include maintaining and improving physical health, stimulating cognitive function, boosting emotional well-being, encouraging social interaction and giving residents a sense of purpose.

To find out more about what our residents get up to or to book a home visit, contact a friendly member of the team who will be delighted to provide their assistance.
