A Wild 80th Birthday Celebration

At Haddington Care Home in East Lothian, we believe that no dream is too big, no matter your age. When our resident Kit shared her 80th birthday wish for something animal-themed, we knew we had to create an unforgettable experience for her—and everyone else in our care home community.

To make her special day truly extraordinary, we invited ZooLabs, an organisation known for its interactive animal experiences, to visit the home. Residents, staff, relatives, and friends all came together for a day filled with excitement, wonder, and perhaps a touch of bravery! From handling snakes to meeting an African snail up close, the event gave everyone the chance to try something new.

Kit, our guest of honour, was absolutely delighted, and her joy was shared by everyone who attended. It was a heartwarming occasion that not only fulfilled her birthday wish but also brought the entire Haddington Care Home community closer together.
