We aim to create strong relationships with all who live and work at Haddington and work hard to ensure that our staff, residents, and their loved ones feel respected and valued.

    Leigh has been a nurse for 10 years, began her nursing career in the transplant unit at the Royal Infirmary, and decided to move into the private sector to develop both nursing and people management skills as a deputy Manager helping to commission a brand new care home.  Has since completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Person Centred Practice with Clinical decision-making and prescribing as a District  Nurse however missed the world of Care Home Management and is delighted to now be part of the team and Haddington.   

    Passionate about people, ensuring our residents are well cared for and our staff continues to be engaged, motivated, and developed to deliver gold-standard care, and our relatives are encouraged to be involved in the community of our home too

    Carolyn graduated from Napier University in 2012 with a degree in Adult Nursing and since then, has been dedicated to working in Nursing Homes, driven by a passion for Elderly Care. Carolyn’s experience at Haddington so far has been rewarding. She has enjoyed getting to know the team and supporting them in delivering care. Currently, Carolyn is looking forward to using her experience to focus on staff training and developing our team to deliver the best care.

    Pauline has recently joined Haddington Care Home as our Business Administrator, bringing a wealth of knowledge from her previous experience in care homes. Despite her short time here, she has quickly integrated herself into our community, forging strong relationships with colleagues, residents, and their families.

    Pauline helps to deliver a first-class experience within Haddington Care Home.

    Trained in Open Arms hotel as a commis chef and went to Telford College in Edinburgh at the same time to study for city and guilds qualifications. Recently taken up head chef post after working in Haddington care home for 4 years.

    Liz loves to bake and enjoys seeing the residents’ reactions to her culinary delights. When not working she loves walking her dog, hill walking and spending time with friends, family and her husband of 41 years!

    Sharron is a Unit Manager based within our Dementia community. Having worked within a wide range of businesses, Sharron says her time to date as part of the Haddington Care Home family has not only been educational and fulfilling but also a pleasure.

    On Sharron’s days off she loves to walk and tries to do a few miles around the coast. Sharron is also a member of Historic Scotland which means she can go and visit all the Castles Scotland has to offer.

    Elaine has worked with Haddington Care Home and its residents for many years.  Having worked at the old Roodlands back in the day Elaine is dedicated to the residents and their needs within Haddington.  Elaine has experience working with and caring for those living with a diagnosis of Dementia and long term illnesses.  You will always see Elaiine with a smile on her face!

    Hamish joined the Haddington Team as a carer back in 2023. He then moved over to our activities team to help boost interaction and activities for our residents. Finding himself missing being a carer, Hamish applied for our Team Leader Role and was successful! We are delighted that Hamish is on board with our caring team and can’t wait to see him grow in experience and confidence!

    Richard qualified in 2006 and initially worked in Neuroscience (Surgical/Medical). He then worked in palliative care in a local hospice which he found really rewarding. Richard has many years of experience working within care homes working as a Staff Nurse and Charge Nurse. Richard is assisting in developing the service with the team at Haddington. In his spare time, Richard enjoys travelling and loves Toronto and Vancouver.

    Andra began her nursing journey in Mangalore, India, where she received a comprehensive education in the art and science of patient care. After completing her studies, Andrea embarked on my nursing career, eager to make a positive impact on the lives of others. Andrea recently completed her Masters in Global Health Care Management at University.

    “Working at Haddington Care Home has been a deeply rewarding experience. I find immense satisfaction in providing person-centred care to our residents, helping them maintain their dignity and well-being and advocating for them. The smiles on their faces and the gratitude expressed in their words serve as constant reminders of the profound impact I have on their lives”. Outside of her nursing responsibilities, Andrea enjoys pursuing her hobbies, which include reading, listening to music, playing sports and exploring nature.

    Edward joined Haddington Care Home back in December 2022.  He joined our team as a team leader and is now one of our registered nurses.  Edward prides himself in knowing his residents well and advocating for their needs and wishes, he particularly enjoys working with those living with a diagnosis of Dementia.  Having worked in our Dementia Community since starting with us he is now based within our Residential floor and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience with him.

    Lorraine has worked with the Haddington Care Home Team since the date of opening. Lorraine brings a wealth of knowledge to the role and she notes that her passion lies in caring for those living with a diagnosis of Dementia. You will see Lorraine working on both our Dementia and Residential Communities.

    Morag has been part of our team since 2018 and is highly valued for her dedication to caring. She takes her role seriously, consistently going above and beyond expectations. Recently, Morag completed her SCQF in Oral Care, becoming our home’s Oral Care Champion. Her passion is to ensure our residents receive top-notch oral care, and she is committed to equipping our staff with the necessary training to achieve this goal.

    Meet Laura, one of the Activities Coordinators for Haddington Care Home. Laura has been here for almost four years – from day one of opening. Laura loves to put a smile on residents faces and to see them laugh which makes her job all worth while.

    Christine has an eye for detail and loves to keep all accounts in good order, she is queen of organisation. Christine joined the team at Haddington 2 years ago and takes an active interest in our residents and especially enjoys chats with relatives. Outside of work Christine loves to spend time with her family, her dogs and likes to keep her garden looking dapper.

    Audrey joined our team in February 2024. She has been styling the hair of residents in care homes for over 10 years and loves her job! Audrey says “The people here are lovely and I really look forward to coming in to work to see my residents”.
